Like so many of us living in consumer culture, I was overwhelmed by clutter most of my life. As a child, I found I had an early knack for creating sublime, livable spaces, and over the years have learned how to keep them that way. This culminated in a Konmari-inspired personal transformation in 2017 where I purged over 60% of my belongings and entered a new state of personal flow.
I’m driven to do this work by a set of core values that animates my creativity and excitement for my clients. Specifically:
Empathy for the plight of the cluttered consumer family:
For most people today, their things own them, rather than the other way around. I personally struggled with credit card debt and over-buying until my purging process drove me to realize what I truly value and what I want to spend money on. This led to a total change in my personal financial habits and a lot more happiness.
Love for the environment:
Developing possession consciousness is way to break away from consumer culture which tells us we never have enough. Buying less and using / reusing what you have are great ways to honor the planet and reduce your carbon footprint. I’ve learned that there’s a LOT of stuff in this world and we usually have more than we really need.
Sensitivity for clients’ specific requirements:
My work is personalized to every family or person’s uniqueness, and is tuned to the rhythms and processes that occur naturally in a space. I bring no judgment and no hassle: only relief, driven by years of experience working closely with real people. Is any tidied space always perfect? Of course not. But when you’re ready to tidy back up, I’ll be there for you.
Staying organized has dramatically improved my quality of life, and it can do the same for you. If you’re struggling in your living space, I’d love to help you.
